Awaken to the experience of joy from within!
We promise our students that they will never be left to find their own way.
We ensure that they understand what they are doing and are committed to giving them the individual attention that every unique body needs.
We educate our students, giving them the information they need to safely and confidently integrate the practice with personal life. As our students mature with the practice, we remain present to help them deepen and fully explore their experiences. Together we mold the basics into an intense, single pointed focus that will bring not only strength, flexibility and stamina but also discipline and emotional clarity and stability. Our students discover the natural abundance around and all the possibilities within.
Augusta's premier yoga instruction inspired by the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga
We are the only studio in the CSRA offering yoga based upon the Ashtanga vinyasa yoga system. Our instructors are Yoga Alliance certified and teach from a place of simple dedication. Dedication to their personal practice, dedication to the practice of teaching and dedication to their beloved students.
We currently offer classes in Martinez. The 1800 square foot studio is leased from Fairytale Adventures during the week for daytime and evening classes. A hardwood floor and a mirrored wall grace this beautiful space.

About Us
Karen Reid is a certified Yoga instructor and the director of Dancing Shiva Yoga.
She first tried yoga in 2000 but it was not until she discovered Ashtanga yoga that the practice became more than an addition to her fitness routine.
The combination of strength, agility and focus necessary to yield the fluid movements of Ashtanga Yoga inspired Karen to commit to a daily practice in 2002.
As a mostly self-taught yogi, Karen appreciates the value of a knowledgable and supportive teacher. She strives to give every student personal attention and an authentic yoga experience.
Karen began teaching yoga in 2004. She continues to practice daily and stays motivated by studying with both local and nationally known yoga masters.
Class Descriptions
Beginners
Learn the basics of a safe practice in a supportive and non-competitive environment.
This class offers new students an individual pace for the study of the Ashtanga Vinyasa method through familiarizing the beginner with postures from the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. Standing postures are held slightly longer to help the student into proper alignment, to build strength and the muscle memory necessary for a fluid practice.
Advanced students will also find befit from the longer holds and the opportunity to deepen their understanding of yoga asana.
